Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
In the morning we will start our 3 days desert tour from Fez to Marrakech via Sahara desert. We leave for Midelt city through the cedar forests and the Mountains of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane,(Switzerland of morocco) a beautiful ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. We will arrive in Midelt for lunch.
At the afternoon we will drive toward Erfoud and into the sahara desert. You will have a camel excursion into the charming Erg Chebbi Dunes , where, you can enjoy snow boarding (This is a particularly strenuous activity involving walking up a sand dune for 15 minutes and sliding down for 30 seconds. It’s akin to snowboarding, without the lifts. It’s huge fun), later you will spend the evening in a berber camp. There you will enjoy a Berber dinner, and sleep in traditional berber tent.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
We will wake up early for Sunrise lovely pictures, and Breakfast in open air, then we will trek on a camel for a 1/2-hour onto the dunes to watch the sunrise. Climb to the top of a dune and see the amazing view of the sun rising up over the Algerian border. Experience the calm and silence of the desert. before we return by camels to the hotel for Shower. Later we will continue to Erfoud (an oasis town in the Sahara Desert), which is known by fossils preparation. Drive through palm trees groves. We stop for lunch, and then we take a short walk in Todra Gorges. We head our stopping point Boumalene de Dades, and then we will follow the Dades Valley through Kelaa Megona, the Valley of the Roses and the road of a thousand Kasbahs. Overnight in the hotel in Aitbenhaddou.
Day 3: Dades Gorges- Skoura – Ouarzazate- Ait Ben haddou – Marrakech
After a breakfast we will visit the town of Ouarzazate, including the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios for movie studios, the largest and most famous of all Africa. From here we head to the Fint Oasis, near Ouarzazate. we stop in Ait Ben Hadou we will arrive in time of lunch. Here we will visit the famous Kasbah, declared UNESCO World Heritage and which was the scene of films like, Babel, The Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, we continue passing through the High Atlas and the Tizin Tichka pass, along a road that climbs from the plains up to 2250 meter above sea level passing through small villages, small waterfalls, through the continuously changing landscape and colors of these amazing mountains. We reach Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight.
